Number of Applications

You can only have ONE active application.

If you have completed the ApplyTexas application, you do not have to complete our Slate Application. Your information has been imported and you only need ONE active application.

Completing the Application

Complete all sections of the application using the “Continue” button at the bottom of each page or the navigation to the left. The requirements of the application will change based on the information you provide, so complete each section of the application in the order presented.

Your information will save automatically as you complete each section of the application.

First-Year Applicant Requirements: Students who have or will have graduated from high school and have not enrolled in college hours after graduation.

• Application fee of $42.00 (non-refundable)
• Official high school transcript
• Official SAT or ACT scores

Transfer Applicant Requirements: Students who have attended another college or university, must apply as a transfer student, not a first-time freshman.

• Earned at least 15 semester hours of college-level credits and overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Official transcripts from all accredited colleges/universities attended
• Application fee of $42.00 (non-refundable)
• Official high school transcript (if you have less than 15 credit hours)
• Official SAT or ACT scores (if you have less than 15 credit hours) or for non-U.S. citizens, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

Additional Requirements for International Applicants

• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores (for non-US Citizens), and a copy of the national examination results.
